The 2020-21 Cricket season has navigated unprecedented risks and challenge. For months, a cricket game, let alone an international tour over the summer seemed unimaginable. On and off the field, the cricketing community has demonstrated its resilience and power to unlock extraordinary results and countless inspiring moments.

Marsh is proud to have played our part in the success of the 2020-21 season, working with Cricket Australia to ensure players, teams and the businesses who support the game can play on.

Since 2003, we have worked with Cricket Australia to help protect the Cricket community, by assisting to provide a safe, enjoyable platform for hundreds of thousands of spectators, officials and players young and old, around Australia.

As the national insurance broker for Cricket Australia, we help to protect the entire cricket community from the grassroots level, right through to the elite, providing insurance and risk foundations that protect more than 400,000 cricket members across Australia – enough people to fill the MCG four times.

Whether you’re a Cricket COVID Safety Officer, a member of the national, state or BBL men’s or women’s cricket team, part of a state or community association or a community cricket club as a player or administrator, a ‘junior blaster’ participant or utilising local cricket grounds or facilities from one of the 450 local councils we support – Marsh has your back so you can play on.

Alongside Cricket Australia, we use data and tools to constantly anticipate and mitigate evolving risk. Our National Risk Protection Program is helping keep future stars in the game and creating a pathway to a safer game for all.

Proudly supporting the Community Heart Program

Each year, around 54,000 Australians suffer a heart attack. An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) can increase the chances of survival to 70%.

Our whole team at Marsh is proud to support Cricket Australia and Heart of the Nation Australia to encourage cricket teams across the country to have access to life-saving AEDs.

Marsh is driving awareness and registrations for the Community Heart Program, donating merchandise and once in a lifetime experiences with elite players.

Working together, we’re giving the cricket community the best possibility of surviving cardiac arrest.
