2016 Energy & Power Loss Control Newsletter
The publication of our 2016 edition of the Loss Control Newsletter (LCN) follows the successful conclusion of Marsh’s sixth National Oil Companies (NOC) conference which took place in Dubai in March.
During the conference Marsh’s Global Energy Risk Engineering (GERE) Team launched our next generation explosion modelling tool – Marsh BLAST. In this edition of the LCN we explain how this new system can aid the accuracy of insurance limits you set. We also launched a number of insight papers during the conference – these are all highlighted within this publication.
The six key articles within this publication include:
- Buncefield: Lessons to Learn
- Asset Integrity
- Safety Critical Devices
- What Value do Insurance Surveys Deliver?
- Are we Really Learning from Incidents?
- Do Lube Oil Fires Really Happen?
As always, our articles are peppered with useful safety snippets and references to relevant trade publications to aid you in your systems, processes, and decision making.
Since the last publication, our engineering team has expanded significantly; eight new engineers highlight our commitment to bridging the gap between the complex workings of facilities and the underwriting process helping you to determine the right limits and scope of cover. In this publication we highlight what skills and experience they bring to the team.
We hope you enjoy the 2016 edition of the Loss Control Newsletter.
