Christopher Hetner Joins Marsh's Cyber Risk Consulting Practice

Marsh, a global leader in insurance broking and innovative risk management solutions, announced today that Christopher Hetner, former Senior Cybersecurity Advisor to the Chairman of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), has joined as a Managing Director in its growing Cyber Risk Consulting Practice.

Mr. Hetner will focus on advising clients around the world on ways to improve their cyber resilience and risk management strategies, and consult on global cybersecurity regulatory requirements and disclosure guidelines. Mr. Hetner is based in New York and reports to Kevin Richards, Global Head of Cyber Risk Consulting.

Mr. Hetner brings more than 20 years of experience in cybersecurity, risk management, and regulatory compliance to the role. During his tenure with the SEC, Mr. Hetner also was a leading member of the US Treasury Financial Banking Information Infrastructure Committee where he provided leadership across a range of cybersecurity programs impacting the financial services sector. Prior to that, Mr. Hetner held several industry leadership roles, including Wealth and Asset Management Cybersecurity Practice Leader at EY, Global Chief Information Security Officer at GE Capital, and Senior Vice President of Information Security at Citigroup.
